About this blog

This blog started out as an email correspondence between a friend and myself on our quest to find more information about which craft beers might be kosher.  Since breweries started adding things other than the basic ingredients and spices, you can no longer just go out and buy an unflavored beer and be able to assume it's kosher.

My friend came up with a list of questions to ask breweries to see some of the behind the scenes of their brewing process. Since no kashrut list includes all of the breweries on it, I've been messaging breweries not on the list to hopefully expand the list of acceptable breweries. I've been focusing on breweries that I see in the stores in Cleveland, Ohio.

This is by no means a stamp of approval from ANY kashrut agency. This is information that can be used to ask you local rabbi and nothing more than that.
